Anthony Whittaker

Client Director (Trusts and Estates)

Anthony is a Client Director based at our Northwich office.  He is responsible for all tax and accountancy related aspects of trusts, estates in administration and lifetime tax planning.

Anthony started working in trusts and estates in 2006 and spent the following 15 years working as a Trust Manager at a large trust company and leading accountancy practices in Leicester, Manchester and Liverpool before joining Bennett Brooks as Senior Trust Manager in February 2021.  He was promoted to Client Director at the start of 2023.

Since 2011 Anthony has been a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner and an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is the Event Secretary for the STEP Cheshire Branch.  His expertise in this area has led him to deliver presentations on tax matters for STEP Cheshire, STEP Liverpool, Professional Liverpool and for various law firms across the North West.He genuinely loves his work – every day can be different when dealing with trust and estates and the discipline is a mixture of law, taxation and accounting.  The human side of Estates and Trusts planning is something that both he and his team find really rewarding as they are helping people at very difficult times in their lives.

In his spare time Anthony is a cinema enthusiast and a keen rambler.  He also stared in the first episode of hit BBC crime drama, Silent Witness.  Not as an accountant though, he played a scenes of crime photographer, coincidentally also called Anthony!
