bennettbrooks Macclesfield team get their hands dirty for charity
Members of our Macclesfield team have been busy volunteering at the Rossendale Trust recently. Since June, the team have attended and supported a number of the charities events and in the last few weeks, they have been on site undertaking some hands-on work in the grounds of Rossendale Hall.

Northwich Office Charity Quiz Night
On Friday 7th July our Northwich Tax team held a quiz night at Antrobus Village Hall in aid of British Heart Foundation & Cancer Research UK (CRUK). Charities chosen with special memories and connections to a number of our employees. A great night was had by all, and we raised a fantastic £1,500 for the worthy charities. Congratulations to the winning team and a huge thank you to all involved for making the event such a success.

Incentivising investment and postponing retirement
The main focus of the Chancellor’s announcements at the Budget 2023 were s always going to be about growth, but given the turbulence from the fiscal events of last year, there wasn’t going to be much on the agenda for tax – the only significant tax announcements were to incentivise businesses to invest and to retain (or regain) the over 50’s within the workplace.
