The event is set to explore the complex and essential role of charities, trusteeship, and legacy giving—a key area for both legal and financial professionals.

Understanding the Role of a Charitable Trustee
The seminar opens with Alison Brennan, Partner at DTM Legal, who will examine the responsibilities and legal obligations of acting as a charitable trustee. Alison will also highlight the risks, governance issues, and practical considerations facing trustees in today’s regulatory environment.
Spotlight on the Institute of Legacy Management
The second part of the event focuses on legacy giving and the role of the ILM (Institute of Legacy Management). A panel of experts in the sector will share insights, including:
- Stephen Lawson, IDR Law
- James Stebbings, Head of Legacy Income at Macmillan and Chair of the ILM
- Fiona Webster, British Heart Foundation
