STEP Exam Success

Bennett Brooks is delighted to announce that Caroline Barrett, one of our tax managers at our Northwich office has achieved distinction in both the tax and accounting papers for the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).   Having passed these very challenging exams Caroline will now proceed to obtain full STEP membership.

STEP is the leading worldwide body for those working in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues.  As the STEP qualifications are mainly held by solicitors, it’s a valuable addition to the range of advice and expertise the firm has to offer.

To not only pass these very challenging exams, but to gain distinctions as well is impressive.

Mary Tierney, Head of Tax at Bennett Brooks said “All of us at Bennett Brooks are immensely proud of Caroline’s achievements in obtaining the STEP qualification. It is testament to her hard work, professionalism and dedication that she has achieved such excellent passes in her exams whilst successfully juggling her career with raising her family.  The combination of her accountancy, tax and now STEP skills mean she can give rounded thorough advice to both our private clients as well as providing valuable support to our network of legal professionals.

Caroline has worked as an accountant and tax adviser for 12 years.  She is Bennett Brooks' in-house R&D specialist heading up this service line and works closely with many companies helping them to benefit fully and efficiently from this valuable tax relief.  Her skills encompass many areas key to the owners of successful OMBs ranging as they do from the important corporation tax issues to advising on successful wealth and succession planning.
