Cheshire East Council - phase two of discretionary fund open for small eligible businesses

Cheshire East Council has launched the second phase of the local discretionary grant scheme, this follows the first phase of the grant scheme which closed on 15 June.

This second phase, which will offer grants of between £2,500 and £25,000, will seek to support a wider cohort of businesses, including some of those that were not eligible in the first phase, and that are outside the government’s small business grant and retail, hospitality and leisure grant schemes. The fund is aimed at small businesses that have fewer than 50 employees, have had a drop in income due to COVID-19 in excess of £750 for the quarter 1 March to 31 May 2020, and with ongoing fixed business property related costs in excess of £750 for the  same quarter. 

The fund will be open for applications at 8am, on Friday 26 June 2020 for a period of two weeks until 8am on Friday 10 July 2020.
