bennettbrooks vs Covid-19

Just a quick update on how bennettbrooks are currently working and how our staff continue to support our clients at this demanding time.

Our office call handlers are working as normal. There are 11 handsets linked to our central exchange taking calls in the normal way. These workers are working safely from home but with direct communications access to everyone across the business. Your queries are messaged directly to the most appropriate person and these individuals will then contact you as soon as they become available.

At a senior level we are researching the latest advice and guidance on the support available for clients during the coronavirus restrictions. Unearthing the practicalities that will enable businesses to access funds is constantly evolving, along with accompanying government and ICAEW advice. We are therefore constantly reviewing so that we can direct people through to the various mechanisms that will enable funding to become accessible.

We are ourselves issuing regular blogs and e-mails via our website and e-mail cannons. If you are not receiving these and would like to be added to the list please e-mail crm@bennettbrooks.co.uk with the subject “Add me to your COVID-19 e-mails”.

Our payroll team is currently at the front line of demand as businesses determine their month end payrolls and make decisions on the options available to them. Furloughing of employees (where 80% of monthly salaries up to £2,500 will be funded by the government) is at the forefront of client queries and our blog link below can answer many of your questions on this.

From an IT perspective BBIT have been inundated over the last two weeks and the team continue to work through their support desk in order to resolve all the issues that both the practice and client base continue to throw at them. From hardware required for a home working transition to software and remote desk top support, issues range from high tech support to simple user guidance. They have split their staffing teams and are now available from 7:00 until 18:00/

In addition to the teams mentioned above wider audit and accounts services are also being provided to our customers as normal. Please continue to contact us with all your concerns and for advice on the options available to you during this crisis, our professionals are on hand to provide all the support they can.
